What is Phone Grading?
Phone grading rates pre-owned phones to provide buyers an idea of the phone’s quality. It gives a good sense of what to expect from a pre-owned phone. When you purchase from us, you know what you’re getting, regardless of the model. Phone grading assesses the phone’s cosmetic condition, battery health, and more. It helps buyers to choose according to their budget: some prefer perfect cosmetic condition, while others prioritize saving money.
What are our Phone Grades?
BRAND NEW – Devices falling under this grade are brand new, unused gadgets. They have never been activated, used, or connected to any carrier. They come in original boxes, often sealed. These devices have a 100% battery life.
GRADE A — Just like in school, an A grade is the best. A Grade or A rating means the used phone is almost like new and functions excellently. It holds a similar value to buying a new phone, showing very minimal signs of use, hardly any scuffs, scratches, or chips. Battery health ranges from at least 87%-100% for a Grade A phone. We cannot guarantee the specific battery health for a device you will purchase because we have thousands in our warehouse. However, the devices falling under this grade will have battery health within this range. It’s important to note that only brand new phones guarantee 100% battery life. While some lucky buyers might receive devices with 100% battery life, it’s not guaranteed for devices under this grade.
GRADE B – Grade B indicates some light scuffs and scratches. It means the phone isn’t in mint condition, but it will function without any faults and will have minimal scratches, maybe 1-3, which can be covered with a pouch or a screen protector. Our Grade B devices can be rated 80/100, with just a few barely noticeable scratches or scuffs. Battery health for devices under this grade will range from 84%-90%, which is perfect for a used device. It’s important to understand that only brand new phones guarantee 100% battery life. While some fortunate buyers may receive devices with 90%+ battery life, it’s not guaranteed for devices under this grade, but at least 84%.
